Beer Review: Sam Adams Noble Pils 7.99/6 Pack I was warned by a friend about this beer. I should have heeded his advice. To say this was one of the worst beers I ever had, might be giving this beer too much credit. It has some floral/herbal and citrus undertones to the smell, but not a strong smell overall. It had some faint citrus taste, as well as some grass taste, and a strong herbal presence but none of them can save this beer. This beer legitimately tastes like soap. I am not a big fan of over use of hops in beer. However, even for a beer that uses alot of hops I do not think it was a good attempt. I’m glad to see a major brewery starting to attempt a Czech Style Pils, however they just failed miserably.
